Pros

Flexible working hours as advertised Festive period closure Pay is generally in line with market rates although noted associate staff get paid significantly more than permanent staff.

Cons

Weak clinical leadership and clinical oversight. Limited access to psychiatrist support. Clear disconnect between business priorities and clinical considerations. Key clinical decisions are made by non-clinical management, which has contributed to the departure of a significant proportion of clinical leadership. The organisation has expanded its service offerings beyond what clinical infrastructure can allow, creating risk and strain that is unrelated to individual workload levels.

Pros

Working at Healios has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. As someone in the tech team, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do directly supports high-quality ADHD and autism assessments that make a real difference to children, young people, and families. There’s a clear sense of purpose across the company, and it genuinely feels like everyone is aligned around helping people get the support they need. Culture & People: The culture at Healios is one of the standout reasons I enjoy working here. People are friendly, collaborative, and genuinely care about each other. There’s a strong sense of psychological safety—sharing ideas, asking questions, or challenging assumptions is encouraged and respected. Even when working remotely, the team spirit comes through. Work–Life Balance: Healios really understands balance. The flexibility and trust given to employees make it easy to manage both work and personal commitments without stress. Workloads are reasonable, expectations are clear, and there’s no culture of “always on.” It’s refreshing to be somewhere that values output and wellbeing equally. Tech Environment: From a tech perspective, there’s a healthy mix of modern practices, continuous improvement, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful solutions. The team is supportive, open to experimentation, and focused on building a tool that actually helps clinicians.
