Pros
Stability and financial resources of a large (at least on county level) health-care entity. If you need equipment, staffing, technology support, space, etc it can be provided. Good clinical providers at the physician/midlevel/nursing ranks.
Cons
Completely incompetent and dysfunctional administrative structure and processes. At least top management finally realized this and is attempting an administrative "restructuring". Unfortunately they have botched this process and anyone with real skills and experience has either quit or is looking to move on before the whole structure collapses. Top admin loves to through around terms like "lean six-sigma blackbelt" as if they even know what that means. At the same time they are trying to flood the place with administrative staff in a desperate attempt to get control of an out-of-control situation
