Pros
I've been in the industry for over 10 years now. I've worked for the carriers directly, jumped over to the broker side and then found HealthMarkets. I love this company. Sky is the limit with income. Every broker will tell you the same but I found that to be not true. I love how ethical HealthMarkets runs their company. Everyone in the entire company supports each other to do well and make money. But my favorite thing is....their number one focus is taking care of clients. They CARE. Most brokers enroll people and the client never hears from them again until the client cancels. We keep clients for life. The training is second to none. Every resource you can imagine is available. I've never seen anything like it in this business. They actually train us on product verses pushing us out the door with contracts and saying good luck! Last but absolutely not least it is a blast! I love my direct supervisor Nicole. She seems to be available 24/7 for me. From everyone I have met so far this company is years ahead of the game and a real class act. I'm so happy I found my people who shares all my same values.
Cons
It's a little overwhelming in the beginning. You need to slow down and learn before you jump running. My problem not theirs. No health benefits but then again I'd rather be making a ton of money and pay for my own. The only real con I can thing of is I can't learn this stuff fast enough. I want to know more and more and am finding myself crawling into bed at midnight. I never want to sleep. I want to be at work.
