Pros

Awesome opportunity to be your own boss, but not be in business by yourself. Good leads program from company and training is top notch. Payment is very good for producing agents. Despite the uncertainty of new health care laws, HealthMarkets is paving the way to be successful in this field!

Cons

Sometimes, the size of our overall portfolio can be overwhelming to a newer agent. As I read on another review here, I would recommend trying to focus on one area of the business at first and then adding other things in time. Must be self-motivated and hard worker. As they say, when you are in business for yourself no one is going to do it for you!

Tons of resources, easily available feedback from superiors, company offers motivating trips if reach sales goals

Cons

No local office to report to, variable schedule, very busy during open enrollment and must renew licenses yearly
