Pros

The money and hours are good when you actually get sales. It is a white-collar clientele. The mileage write-off is good.

Cons

Commission-only sales is a real challenge for planning your finances. There is no base salary on which to plan your finances. If you make a sale the money is great, but in the months where you don't, it is impossible to plan your budget.

Thanks for your review. Although commission sales can be challenging, it can be very lucrative as well. Our representatives are paid on performance and those who are willing to work and follow our system do very well. Additionally, most medical companies who do pay salaries expect you to bring industry experience and a book of business. We will consider those without that experience if they have demonstrated sales ability.

Pros

Getting into the medical device business can be a challenge, as somoe may already be aware. HWT is a great opportunity to break into this business. Provides unlimited income potential for those that want to work hard. It's not difficult as long as you follow the proven process.

Cons

This job is for big boys and big girls who know what it takes to be successful. No short cuts here. You eat what you kill.

Pros

Flexible schedule. Your in charge of your own destiny & sales. Can make very good money if your ambitious. It is one of the few that is not a 1099. You build your own territory.

Cons

Commissions only. Be prepared to put out A LOT...& I mean A LOT.... of money before earning any commissions. You have to pay for your own hotel & travel expenses for training, gas, office supplies, sales literature etc... Lots of miles & wear on your car with no reimbursement. No real help in setting up territory. Just cold call on your own & develop your own target list. There's some micromanaging on the sales closing calls to the point where it annoyed several of doctors. Pricing on the exact same product is also about 7k higher than competition's retail...& have been called out on it several times. Sales is also based on Medicare so with the new changes coming for primary care, that market will shrink more

I'm sorry you did not have a positive experience. Although we have turnover as any company does in sales, we also have longevity and high earnings with our productive and successful sales representatives. Sales can be very challenging and is not for everyone. Everyone who comes to work for us has the same opportunity. It's up to them what they make of it.
