Pros
Freedom to set your own schedule (within reason), as long as you get the job done. Being able to interact with different clients and solve problems. Tremendous satisfaction of making the environment for the residents as nice as possible. Finally, the chance to interact with the residents themselves...what stories.
Cons
Not enough support from corporate - as a district manager you have to be your own hr manager, payroll clerk, recruiter, trainer, business developer and do your operational job as well. It takes an unique person who can do it all well, especially in California with all of its laws.
