Pros

Awesome coworkers, and a product that is solid.

Cons

So many. Management doesn't trust their employees. They trust you to sell the paper/digital, but beyond that if you aren't in management then your ideas are stupid and worthless. Micromanagement beyond belief and business decisions that will make your eyes pop, such as giving away really valuable advertising packages away to clients without using those to leverage larger relationships. Their view of digital is very 1999...don't seem to be aware of how to properly monetize the digital end of the business. Way too management heavy, which means that in order to ensure job security, management is constantly asking you to write some garbage report so that they can look busy.

Pros

I love working at Hearst in the Baltimore, Maryland market. I have worked for many radio stations over the past nearly 40 years and this is one of the best companies as far as working environment. I really feel cared for here.

Cons

On a personal level, I've had a hard time getting full time employment within the company, which is discouraging. Also, it takes forever for management to make hiring decisions.
