Pros

- Awesome colleagues - Free Parking

Cons

- Ongoing uncertainty about the future and unforeseen restructures causes widespread anxiety and impacting morale. We were told we are doing solidly on Revenue only to have a restructure in 2 weeks. - There's a critical disconnect between Management, Product, and Sales in understanding customer needs, resulting in misaligned and inefficient development efforts. - The current dynamic, where the CTO appears to drive company direction while the CEO manages customers, is creating conflicting priorities and confusion. - Employees perceive (rightly or wrongly) that the CTO (and his posse) holds more decision-making power than the CEO.

Pros

It was a decent place to work, but I just didn't have a great territory, as most fruit doesn't grow in the Northeastern United States

Cons

Pretty much trial by fire, you're thrown in with zero training or onboarding and expected to succeed. No training on the product, just learn it yourself and then talk to people about it. Also expected to travel a lot when it is unnecessary

Pros

- A tech startup solving problems in a very challenging and valuable industry - Nice, decent, supportive people excluding the leadership - Good tech stack to work

Cons

- Insensitive leadership - Roles with inadequate compensation - Absence of recognition or performance-driven career objectives - Culture centred around the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Limited or stagnant career advancement opportunities - Focus solely on meeting company demands without bonuses, annual reviews, competitive packages, or insurance, offering only a low base salary. - Lack of transparent performance assessments - Unforeseen layoffs - Less support for professional support (you will find attractive things like team budget, and personal development budget which will never get allocated unless you're in the CTO's list) - Carrier development plans or mechanisms are just another piece of document by leadership which hasn't helped anyone to actually grow.
