Pros

Very generous benefits package. Most people are friendly and enjoy their work. Summer Fridays are great. Easy-going work culture.

Cons

Incredibly poor management (shockingly so). Just when you think they can’t possibly do any worse, they prove you wrong. HR has no clue what it’s doing; severe lack of tact in handling difficult situations / decisions and is more interested in staying friendly with leadership than addressing employee concerns. Little to no opportunity for growth, Trust promotion policies ensure this stays true. Yearly performance evaluations done just for fun – no merit-based pay increases, promotions or hiring. These are awarded if leadership likes you or by rolling dice (I presume). Employee morale was and still is (according to current employees) incredibly low. Terrible, terrible CEO.

Pros

Relaxed environment, most of the employees are very nice and easy to get along with. The good culture is a result of the employees banding together not a result of management. Very generous benefits, summer Friday's, good time off. Your job is to give money away, and that is pretty great.

Cons

Office is nice but not open and conducive to cross department run in and communications. Also, too corporate/law office looking it does not match the staff or the mission. There is very little room to grow. Program staff is treated a lot better than support staff. HR department is pretty bad. Can't trust HR, don't feel like concerns (not serious) are taken seriously or thought out. Under go reviews but unable to get a performance based increase. You can work as hard as you want to or bare minimum and you are treated the same.
