Safety Hazard - Assembly Line Worker Hendrickson Employee Review

Pros

You know your pay scale. Possible route to become a welder/cnc operator. Small pension contribution.

Cons

Management had employees clean up after plant fire, questionably hazardous working conditions, no climate controlled facility, questionable use of hoists and wenches. Frames teeter-tottering on scizor lifts. Staff would ask you to get under frames to mount shocks to them, while only secured by a small roof hoist. Poor ventilation for soft coat. It's on everything, from fans, to lines, to the air you breathe. Quantity over quality preferred for parts that will be on your roadways. Due to steel imports layoffs happen, have heard they did away with overtime.

Pros

Great motivated and smart people, good culture for interns and lots of projects for interns to learn hands on engineering

Cons

Sometimes different teams can get busy and require you to really advocate for support/help for your work, as managers or other engineers will not really have time to check in with you sometimes. Still a great experience.

Pros

The other assembly associates is the only pro.

Cons

Mismanaged, underpaid, undervalued, overworked, dangerous working conditions, safety is a joke, retaliation, and harassment.
