Pros
The positives of working here are the flexible working, although I'm not sure if this is the same across all departments. The team on the ground are a great bunch of people, although the average age is really low which limits business experience. I think this is a great place to work if you're straight out of uni / junior and not looking to develop as a manager. The founders (CEO and CTO) are genuinely world class entrepreneurs.
Cons
As mentioned above - all management decisions are made outside of the UK. The management interaction in the UK office is limited and this can often lead to feel leaderless and somewhat chaotic. For 'middle management' genuine autonomy is really limited. There are huge bottlenecks for decision making. Some of the management team have been known to bully staff, with nothing done about it when flagged - though this is not something which happened to me personally. The company fails to meet market rate salaries, though this can often be the case with startups. This does of course limit the talent you can access. Finally, there is no investment in company culture which is a shame given Hibob is selling a people management platform and the reality of working in the company diverges hugely from the company vision.
