For context, I started here as an intern through school, and this was expected to lead into a full-time position. When newer technologies or improved methods are brought forward, the response is often along the lines of, “we’ve been doing it this way for 30 years and it works.” Suggestions from people outside the engineering department do not always seem to be taken seriously.
