Pros

- Awesome high-end technical equipment. - Lovely coworkers who are always happy to help and support each other. - Plenty of technical challenges, with projects that often involve multiple departments working together.

Cons

For context, I started here as an intern through school, and this was expected to lead into a full-time position. Due to differences between myself and management, we eventually went separate ways. - Limited growth opportunities within the company. After expressing interest in moving from a mechanical role into a more engineering-focused position, there was significant pushback. - Management and some higher-level department leads do not respond well to vocal employees. There are gaps in certain processes that can create unsafe situations, and raising those concerns often leads to resistance rather than constructive discussion, which can create a toxic work environment. - Many manufacturing processes and techniques feel heavily outdated. When newer technologies or improved methods are brought forward, the response is often along the lines of, “we’ve been doing it this way for 30 years and it works.” Suggestions from people outside the engineering department do not always seem to be taken seriously.
