Pros

I liked the rates and the project I worked on

Cons

I expected the long-time cooperation, but it didn't go well. I did one translation for Hippeis and waited for my payment (they pay after 60 days) and the payment didn't arrive. I had to email everyone I knew in the company to get my payment. After a month of emails I've received my payment.

Pros

They have interesting projects, I guess.

Cons

[DISCLAIMER] This review isn't directly aimed at Hippeis Media, but to one of its companies: DLM International (although, from the looks of it, this issue comes all the way from the top). I can't find this company listed on Glassdoor, so I'll leave this review here. The DLM International I'm writing about is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, and deals mainly with localization and dubbing projects in the video game industry. [REVIEW] They simply don't pay you. No matter how interesting their projects may be, or how kind and helpful the PMs may seem, you should never, EVER work with this company, because they won't pay you. The agreement I signed with them stated that invoices would be paid within 60-90 days (2-3 months). I've waited over 6 months, and they still refuse to transfer me the money I'm owed. And this is in addition to the first 3 months I worked for them. So, unbeknownst to me, I'd be working a total of 9 months for them for free. This is the most exploited I've ever been in my freelancing career, as a translator. While I can't disclose which projects I worked on (due to NDA agreements), I can say they include both indie and big-budget AAA titles. As such, I honestly expected to be working with a trustworthy agency, and I never imagined I'd have any issues with getting paid. Adding insult to injury, getting replies for anything other than their projects takes forever. I get one reply for every three or four emails I send asking about the progress of my payment. And all I've been getting for the past 6 months is a variation of the "we'll pay you soon" reply. It's unbelievable how this sort of thing is happening. Until payments are no longer a recurrent issue (and, clearly, I'm not alone in this), this is one company to avoid at all costs.
