I've worked for privately owned companies and publicly traded companies and this by far is the worst company I've ever worked for and I couldn't leave fast enough. Believe the other reviews when they say you are lied to because it is the truth. This company had the bright idea of letting go of all our upper management in Houston to bring in a Sales Management company to run our sales organization. After these individuals were let go our CEO sat there and lied to our face as to why they were let go. This company is supposedly Christ centered and faith based which I felt was great but I quickly found out that is just for show. They do not have these values in any way. After they let these people go they brought into our region an IT guy to run the sales organization temporarily and he is beyond clueless and a HUGE liar. He was doing everything he could to push all the old sales people out so this new company can bring in new ones. Half the sales team left when the transition happened and then this guy wants to write people up for the most petty stuff I've ever witnessed in new home sales. Then one person he wrote up he lied to her stating something a previous manager said about her which was a lie because he is this one that told this manager to write this person up and fire her which he refused to do so. He just didn't like this employee and has it out for her. Thank God I didn't work here more than 5 months because out of any employer I've ever worked for this is by far the worst. Never in my career have I ever worked somewhere for less than 5 years and this place I couldn't even stand to be here for half a year. There business model is horrible. The culture seemed to be good when I started but it is now terrible and nobody trusts our CEO or other upper management as they had lied to us repeatedly. They love to micromange you and question your every move and don't put any trust in their employees. They are also putting new people with no homes sales experience in new communities which will ultimately fail. They are so beyond clueless as to what they are doing and the CEO, based on his recent decisions in Houston is destoying his family legacy as this is a 4th genration family owend company. They have no idea how to run things in the Houston market and it shows by their actions. I could go on for days on how horribly run this company is but I have better thins to do. Trust me when I say this, DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY if you are in new home sales. If you are new to the industry you probably won't know any different but if you have been in new homes sales, run now. Don't waste your time. There are roughly 256 home builders in Houston and this one would be in the bottom 5 to work for. There are better options out there.
