Pros

There is a group of very interesting and smart peers that is willing to help and work very hard. The team is really diverse, although the senior management is basically white and male. The company has a very good work-from-home policy, including the freedom to work outside your home country from time to time. The benefits are not spectacular but are not bad as well.

Cons

Unfortunately, things vary depending on where you are based in: CA or the rest of the world. Employees in Canada get more perks than employees in other regions. There are no real opportunities for growth outside Canada, and establishing a plan of career doesn't seem to be in the company's plans. Projects are siloed in the headquarters and the company's project plans are not shared with teams outside Canada. There is a lack of synergy among senior leadership, leaving teams without a clear vision of what is required from them. Goals are not clearly defined making performance assessments really hard/complex and sometimes meaningless. The work/life balance can be really weak if you work in client-facing roles, especially the ones related to support and client management. The Product team has a really bad attitude towards colleagues that are not part of their team (They think they are the only ones that know anything about the market and the tech), which is many times really unprofessional and disrespectful.

Pros

- The company offers a highly flexible WFH policy along with generous vacation days, so it helps support a good work-life balance. - Peers are mostly collaborative and supportive, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. - The team is relatively diverse. - As the ad platform is still relatively new, there are ample room for its growth and involvement in shaping feature improvements and contributing to the product roadmap.

Cons

- Communication from leadership and upper management is severely lacking. Given the company's relatively small size, one would expect more transparent and consistent communication. Unfortunately, this disconnect trickles down to middle management, resulting in limited visibility for the ICs on where the company is heading as a whole. The acquisition by Perion hasn't brought any noticeable improvements. - No effective channel to voice general Q&As about the biz or flag process bottlenecks with leadership. - Annual compensation has remained stagnant, with no regular increases or adjustments. - Chronic understaffing has significantly increased workloads. Perion appears reluctant to open more headcounts despite operational demands, - The company remains heavily Canadian-centric, with almost no product or engineering counterparts in other regions, which limits global perspective and slows down support in these areas.
