They have some of the best cocktails and whiskey selection in the East Bay area. The dress code is quite formal, yet relaxed. The clientele are typically quite friendly, along with the regulars. You'll learn a lot about beer and whiskey, and how not to run a successful bar.
Cons
The employee turnover rate for ALL positions here is the highest I've ever witnessed in the restaurant industry. I wonder why? The tips are pitiful, even on the busiest nights. Long shifts with NO breaks, due to them always being understaffed and plagued with petty callouts. No room for growth or career advancement, unless you're "popular" with management. Lots of gaslighting, drama, and childish talking of others behind their backs. They currently have a 3.5 star review on Yelp out of 350 reviews for a reason.
