Pros
Professionally, i have the opportunity to contribute noticeable value to the company. Mr Yonathan Parienti encourages autonomy and expects employees to think like managers, which i personally appreciate as it provides "first-hand" experience of business operations. Not something you learn in the classrooms :)
It is important to note that Horyou organizes the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum, SIGEF (for short). SIGEF provides employees with the option to travel around the World and to gain knowledge in event management/organization, business development, sales and marketing, etc
Though i am relatively new to the team, i can say that the potential is there as long as management is willing to: focus on the proven strategy, standardize internal structure, ensure transparency within the team to enable us optimize our operations
I sincerely hope the above helps
Cons
There is no perfect company, and the "successful" tech-enabled companies that people flock too today all had (some still have) their growing pain
So far these are my observed recommendations for improvement (in no order of priority):
- Improve compensation of employees (especially the employees that actively generate monetary value)
- Standardize internal structure i.e. salary payment date, bonus packages (this enables employees to plan their personal lives i.e. family, schools, holidays)
- Be open to adapt and pivot from the initial idea, change is the only constant thing, what worked 2 years ago is most like not going to work 2 years after
