Pros
Working with community members and collaborating with other local non profits. Good pay and great benefits including life insurance. The union rep was always available when we reached out.
Cons
There was no formal or informal training during the onboarding process and I mean simple things like wifi password and how to transfer calls and check voicemail on the phone system. There were no written protocols or procedures so that means case managers all end up doing things differently causing confusion and frustration for both staff and clients. There's lots of cliques and people are always talking about other co workers behind their backs and not to their face. It's difficult to get hired for other positions within the organization due to middle management staff and cliques within the programs standing in your way.
