The pay is minimal and unless you're a director, you're walked all over in the name of the mission. Your work schedule can be overwhelming and not just with position related tasks. They will ask you to do things way out of your job description. Not to mention, some directors there are just downright rude and condescending, especially if they deem you to be below them intellectually. And don't bother asking for help or further instruction on whatever vague task they assign you. You won't get it and they'll make you feel terrible for even asking.
