It’s the largest annual event in Houston where you can learn a lot. Good perks during event season but at a cost. The brand on your resume will stand out to other Houston and Texas companies.
Cons
“It’s always been done this way” mentality. Don’t wait around for this organization to value you. Remember: Volunteers will always be above staff members. And for most, it’s the typical overworked/underpaid scenario.
