Clique culture, no job progression. - Transplant Coordinator (RN) Houston Methodist Employee Review

Pros

Decent benefits (not the greatest just decent). Good amenities ok pay.

Cons

The department exhibits a highly cliquish culture, where certain employees are sent to “spy” and report on others’ actions. The behavior among employees often resembles that of a high school environment. Long-tenured employees, regardless of productivity levels, are frequently praised and rewarded, while newer, hardworking employees are unfairly treated or penalized. Unfortunately, this toxic dynamic has led to the departure of several outstanding employees who felt mistreated.

Pros

Great organization to grow professionally in healthcare operations. Strong focus on patient care, quality, innovation, and leadership development. I’ve gained valuable experience in physician support, operations, workflow improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while working with talented teams and leaders.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with high expectations and increasing responsibilities. At times, leadership roles can feel under-titled compared to the level of operational work being performed. Work-life balance can also be challenging during staffing shortages, major initiatives, or clinic transitions.
