Positive minded and pragmatics employees. Young employees are allowed to start working on projects early in their careers. The company has employee loyalty and encourages hiring and promotion from within. Solid work/life balance with flexible hours and understanding management.

Cons

It is owned by EchoStar, which has repeated cut benefits including vacation time and health care benefits. Hughes' loyalty to its employees lead to a stagnant reporting structure that does not allow for rapid career advancement. Pay scale is slightly below the D.C. Metropolitan average.
