Pros

-Kind, hardworking teammates -Free food

Cons

-Focus was never on the consumer or actually doing something positive; it was about making money at any cost (i.e. tricking people into receiving food they don't want, pushing ads spouting toxic diet culture messages about weight loss, etc.) -Unhealthy startup Kool-Aid culture of constant work and higher and higher expectations with promise of "changing the world," all designed to make employees do as much work for as little pay as possible -Boy's club mentality among leadership, with very little diversity -CEO has very little understanding or knowledge of certain parts of the business, yet refuses to listen to function leads -Witnessed leadership exhibiting demeaning behavior towards more junior team members -HR asks employees to submit Glassdoor reviews and follows up until positive review is written

Pros

This company and the position I have are exactly what I was looking for in my job search. I came from very well established food industry companies, which makes updating/changing policies and processes very hard. Everyone on my team listens to everything I have to say and I can see that they try their best to incorporate my ideas in what we are currently working on. Hungryroot is the first company I have worked for that actually care about their employees and their health vs only focusing on what the employee brings to the table. I have loved every second that I have been employed here!

Cons

It is a startup company so some things may get overlooked. Can be hard to cover some gaps that may get identified. The company uses many different types of softwares and programs which may get a little confusing.
