Pros

I'm several months in and loving it so far. Great perks, good salary, very liberal work from home and remote policies, awesome insurance, lots and lots of cool company event. Workload is honestly adequate and nothing crazy, at least for our team (I've seen other reviews here complaining about that). Definitely looks like a place with room for growth which is good. I'll stick around. Great CEO (or CDO)—attentive and caring, which is a rare sight in this industry.

Cons

Culture — while improving with the rebranding and new hires, still needs work and attention. Some people in upper management have egos that are showing through more than I'd like it to see. The office could be a bit cleaner and better maintained, but maybe I'm just picky.

Pros

HYFN was a great place for awesome projects and clients. If you worked hard, you were rewarded well.

Cons

There was too much transparency.

Pros

- Incredibly hard working management team treats employees like friends & fosters camaraderie - Location, location, location: You can work by the beach in Hermosa or in the heart of New York City - The sheer talent of our development team, producers, designers & management breeds confidence - Amazing body of previous work with world class agencies & brands allows for strong references - As a growing award winning agency in a cutting edge industry this a fantastic place to be in 2012 - Being in business development, the more new clients / work I bring in the better my pay, so it's a high risk / high reward environment, but I feel like I understand our business & am about to turn a corner that will positively impact both me & the company.

Cons

- The only thing I'd suggest as a "con" at this point is that, because I'm in New York City I get less face time with senior management, the producers I work with & the development team. That said, I get out to LA as often as I can & the start up atmosphere of our New York office makes working at HYFN an exciting challenge - and since everyone works hard / collaborates on projects the time difference doesn't seem to affect communication / workflow at all.
