Pros

i've gotten to own features end-to-end. there's a lot of learning and you get to work on some really interesting problems (scaling infra, db optimizations, building AI agents and orchestration, and the like). you ship fast and actually see your features get used by customers. i've also gotten to interact with customers directly, which is pretty cool :). the team is global but tight-knit, everyone's quite talented, and it genuinely feels like a community rather than just coworkers. even as an engineer you get to think about the product as a whole and get a say in product direction. i've learned quite a bit here in a very short amount of time - didn't have prior experience with half of what i work on now.

Cons

it's a fast-growing startup, so expect long hours and high expectations. you need to take ownership and be comfortable with ambiguity. things move fast and can change quickly. not a typical 9-to-5, so probably isn't for you if you're looking for that.

Pros

- Tightly bonded and incredibly driven team — fellow interns/full-timers were some of the smartest and ambitious people I've met - Incredibly high levels of ownership and trust, was strongly encouraged to voice my opinions (was never treated as an intern) and to suggest improvements (felt supported to champion tasks/functions I've suggested) - Things move really fast which means you fail fast, learn fast, and create impact fast - Opportunity to work in cross-functional teams and work on anything you're interested in (but you need to be able to back it up and own it from end-to-end) - Early company building insights from founders

Cons

- Tough work if you want to get the most out of your time here - If you want to learn things outside of your job scope, you have to put in extra work and long hours - Expected to learn and onboard fast - You're expected to take charge of your own learning — set your own goals and communicate them (track your own progress and work for the things you want) - Things can get hectic and stressful (not for everyone)

Pros

You get to work directly with customers and get to see the impact of your features

Cons

- Extremely long work hours, expected to work 12h/day from 9am to 9pm, no WFH. Sometimes, customer calls can happen past midnight and you might stay up late to fix bugs. There is little appreciation for such efforts. - Salary is below market, especially given the working conditions. - There is a lack of trust towards employees. PM is non technical. Engineers are second class citizens when they are the ones driving the revenue.
