Pros

After many years of short term employment relationships due to situations in an out of my control, and after a period of unemployment, I didn't think any employer would take me on due to my inconsistent employment history. At this point I was willing to take on any work so I Googled work in my area and Hythe popped up. I interviewed days later and was hired within a week. They took a chance with me and helped me to build and expand on skills I'd acquired from previous jobs. The most important skill I've built since being here is confidence. I started at 10 hours a week and now I'm FT. Hythe: * is flexible around your schedule * values employee development and growth * seeks employees in under-utilized geographical areas throughout the country

Cons

None that I've experienced.

Pros

I joined Hythe Research as a part-time marketing strategist earlier this year, at a time when I wasn't necessarily looking for a job. However, as a stay-at-home-mom for the last 4.5 years, I was starting to get the itch to tap back into my marketing background and get my creative juices flowing once again. When the opportunity to work at Hythe came along, it felt like the perfect fit. After speaking with Heather, the CEO, about the company culture, I realized that Hythe is not your typical tech consulting firm. They are out-of-the box thinkers looking for creative people who will take initiative to get the job done. They are looking for the right people to work for the organization, and as such are willing to provide flexibility (i.e. hours and location) based on individual employee needs. All of those factors added up to make Hythe a great company to work for. I am thoroughly enjoying the work I do and love having a wide range of projects that allow me to be creative and stretch myself to learn new skills.

Cons

The company is just getting started. I haven't come across any cons at this point.
