Pros
Most are trying really, really hard and mean well. Clients are wonderful.
Cons
Not enough behavior technicians to support clients we already have and told we still need to bring in new clients. Management must fill BT vacancies on a daily basis so it is difficult to complete other duties and everyone suffers for it. Everyone chooses to work through their lunch to leave early, so prep work suffers and things often feel frantic. Not taking a lunch is encouraged as there aren't really enough humans to safely cover multiple staff leaving for 30 min . At times, so short staffed that it borders on unsafe. Often necessary to significantly lower demands for majority of clients when many staff are needed to support crisis behavior. Treatment is negatively impacted. Training for new staff is lacking and many new hires don't seem to know what they are getting in to, so they quit very soon after starting.
