The CEO Shairose does not value her staff, and treats them merely as cogs that keep a machine running. She cares more about how people view the company from the outside and everything she does is simply to keep up appearances. The majority of social media posts are forced or set up, purely to create content for social media channels in a desperate attempt to create the image that they have a company culture.
Staff are constantly overworked, as Shairose takes on projects knowing full well that we don’t have the staff capacity or skills to deliver them (For example, we were given the brief of producing an app for a client, when no one in the company had the technical skills to do so). Due to this each person can be doing the job of 3 or 4 people at any one time, with no gratitude or thanks for it.
The company has an extremely high staff turn over, which is why they’ve enforced a 3 month notice period. I was asked by IMC to write a positive review on Glassdoor to counteract the multiple negative reviews they’d received. So be mindful of this when reading the positive reviews!!
On my last day Shairose didn’t acknowledge me. Let alone say goodbye or thank me for my time at the company.
Please seriously consider your options before joining IMC, as it was a completely negative experience for me.
