Pros
IOP is a great place to work because great people work there. Everyone is always willing to help out another “IOP’er”, even if you are not on the same project team. The culture of learning at IOP means that everyone is willing to share what they know and collaborate, since everyone feels that they are on the same team. Management is also transparent about the direction of the company, and how each person can help themselves grow and the company move forward. Work/life balance is an important part of the IOP culture, and the company strives to empower employees to make decisions about how best to spend their time. IOP has always prioritized a flexible work environment, encouraging telework when it is available. I have always found IOP's managers willing to talk about how to best navigate the balance of work with life events.
Cons
In government contracting, you don’t get to choose your client. Thankfully, IOP generally works with great government clients.
