Remote work option overshadowed by poor management and workload issues - Senior Analyst ION Group Employee Review

Pros

Working from home. But only because I’m not in one of the main locations.

Cons

Disconnected management - They have no idea how things work in reality. No raises or bonuses for the last 3 years excused by lies of irrelevant “goals” not being met. Fired employees never get replaced and workload is thrown on who’s left. Constant disconnected and dumb changes that drastically degrade workflows. The only person who cares about the employees is the direct manager - probably will leave or get fired soon.

Pros

I get to work from home and have a grand-fathered in unlimited PTO policy. And that's about it.

Cons

RUN. This is just a horrible company to work for. Either you are living in constant fear of being fired or you are so overworked you feel like you have to work 60 hours a week just to do the bare minimum. The CEO, Andrea, is just gutting everything, doing mass layoffs over and over again. He has no clear visit for the company, goal posts keep changing, and everyone is setup to fail.
