Fun work environment but chaotic leadership - Software Engineer IOTech Systems Employee Review

There are some very bright minds working here and it felt like a tight nit group who you can have a laugh with at the pub. HR cares for employee's experiences within the company and acts quickly. You get to experience a wide spectrum of development if you want whereas in large companies where you're only CI/CD or only backend engineers ect. Product feedback from engineer level can change the implementation design, making it a collaborative environment. Loyalty and effort is rewarded with career progression. Very relaxed working environment where you are given significant trust and autonomy. Good software engineering processes and modern tech stacks used. Talented technical director. Great friendly culture.

Lack of product direction at times. Very reactive to what customers request when a new one comes in instead of foreseeing market requirements.

Not sure what to say here, but work and politics is manageable

Senior management can be better. Must stop using us to control juniors and freshers.
