Cons

I left the company after 4 months as I didn't want to work in IRIS as not a good environment to work in. The management team had no clue about the work involved and was trying to push more. Not enough people in the team to do the job and be to able a good provide good service to the customers. High staff turn in areas so never knew who to talk to and because of this, every department seems to be slow in responding.

We work hard across IRIS to provide a supportive and caring environment, where everyone can flourish. We are sorry to hear that this was not your experience. We have developed our ‘Managing with IMPACT’ training programme to give all managers the skills they need to motivate, develop, and inspire their teams. We are delighted that so far, we have supported 74 managers with ongoing support, training in communication, emotional intelligence, and HR coaching, as well as signposting wellbeing tools to ensure that their employees are performing at their best. In addition, employee feedback is very important to us. We use our monthly employee engagement survey, Peakon, across the business for staff to send immediate feedback to managers and senior leaders, so that they can act on ideas and comments quickly. Since its launch, we are delighted that employees have shared more than 50,000 comments and managers have posted over 41,000 interactions, responses, and follow-up questions. We also are proud to have 35 Employee Voice Ambassadors (EVAs) across several departments, with 19 ambassadors in Operations. These ambassadors gather our teams’ collective voices and feedback to the departments senior leaders and Executive member to implement positive change and further improve engagement We are currently in a recruitment drive to welcome fantastic new employees into the IRIS family, who can delight our customers and evolve IRIS into the best it can be. We are also very proud of our extensive track record of growing via acquiring fantastic organisations with great people who enable us to provide a greater range of products to our customer base. To keep everyone at IRIS connected we have a ‘Meet the HR team’ page on our HR homepage that employees can access to find our who they should contact for support and how, as well as key links to frequently used platforms and systems like Delve contacts, which provides the name, job title, hierarchy, and contact details of all our employees. Pros

I have been with Iris for approximately 5 months and have been incredibly impressed. The people I work with from my peers, leadership (including executive leadership) and my team, are amazing. Building relationships has been easy as most of the employees are open to it, are very collaborative and genuinely want to help! Iris is also focused on equality and ensure we all have a fair opportunity for growth. While we have a lot to do here, it is clear that we are valued.

Cons

As a rapidly growing organization, we have some growing pains and some foundational processes, systems and flow that need to be updated and/or adjusted, but nothing that won't be fixed over time.
