Pros
Majority of the people working there are genuinely nice people - but not senior management.
Cons
Where do I begin. 1. Management. They are all liars and gas lighters. They live in a fairy tale world, so exceptionally out of touch with their employees. They pretend to listen to you/your problems but then do absolutely nothing about it. They will work you dry, weekend, lates, nights and look at you like you're crazy when you ask for a small pay rise or at minimum - to be paid your full wage on the weekends. 2. Users and abusers. Want to know why they are 'so good' for employing apprentices and grads? Because they make them work like a full time CM or TSM, but only have to pay them a third of the salary. Which leads me to my next point: 3. Salaries! Are an absolute joke. They also gaslight you into thinking you're getting paid well. They will spend £5,000 on a drinks evening but if you ask for a £2000 increase they'll laugh. 4. Career progression. You could be doing everything right and more, but they'll still hire someone external. They wont promote you unless someone at the top of the business has an interest in you. And even then, you have to jump through hoops and beg. Essentially - they'll only promote you when it suits them!!! 5. Women in the workplace - management like to talk the talk of supporting women in the workplace, but when it comes to it, they do not. I watched 4 women ask management for help over 2 years and each of them left the business because management did nothing. 6. Mental health and wellbeing - as above. Management talk the talk but are completely incompetent with dealing with real life issues. 6. Culture. It's toxic. Depressing. Anxiety inducing. Men are allowed to be absolutely horrible and crass to people and get away with it. Everyone turns a blind eye because everyone knows that management wont do anything. What's worse is if you raise an issue, no does anything anyway. Toxic culture, bullying and harassment is not dealt with at the core. If you raise an issue, then you become the problem.
