Great potential, but lack of management and leadership holding company back - IT Engineer IT Voice Employee Review

Company's leadership structure has not kept up with their acquisitions leading some employees to be woefully under managed. This is not the case with all departments, but definitely some. My direct manager has not had a one-on-one with me since our company was acquired months ago. This leads to two problems. First, how can they know my work load and if I need support or not and how to support me with it. I also don't know where I stand with the company and where my role might be leading. It is difficult to get onboard with the vision when you don't know what the vision is and what role you are playing with achieving these goals. It's like being traded to a new team, but the coach has not told you what position you are playing, so you just wonder around on the field trying to figure it out.
