Pros
Since the management office was in New York and myself being in Columbus, I was able to enjoy a significant degree of autonomy over my work. This autonomy allowed me to manage my tasks efficiently and maintain a healthy work-life balance. It's worth noting that this self-directed approach might not suit everyone, but for those who thrive under minimal supervision, it's an ideal environment.
Cons
Due to minimal supervision, I sometimes found it difficult to find clear direction in business development (BD) tasks. This environment necessitates a proactive approach to identify leads, manage follow-ups, and drive progress. While this level of autonomy can be empowering, it may present a steep learning curve for those new to BD. However, for experienced BD professionals, these challenges shouldn't pose a significant issue.
