Pros
I have worked with Ideasmyth as a contractor, and also been a client. In both capacities, the generosity with which Victoria shares and leverages her high-level contacts and circles in win-wins for everybody has been invaluable to me.
Creating lasting connections between creatives working at the top of their game is Victoria's forte. She has recommended long-standing clients that I have worked with both as a writer/actor/producer, and for my small business, Letter Perfect Transcription, a media transcription company. And in return I have recommended her workshops, productions and services-- I even sent my mother to Victoria for coaching on her first novel.
I have watched firsthand in her writing workshops how Victoria goes above and beyond in all of her client interactions, giving people not only well-seasoned and exacting editing advice for all stages of publication, but also media plan/pitch advice and presentation coaching. And Ideasmyth's event planning and producing helped me to meet literary/cultural superstars as a peer.
Those relationships have stood the test of time and shaped my New York experience, and I imagine anyone who works with Ideasmyth would have similar opportunities to expand their circles into areas they wouldn't normally expect. I highly recommend getting into Ideasmyth's orbit.
Cons
I would imagine as an intern you would have to stay open and be a self-starter in order to take best advantage of the atmosphere and experiences offered.
