Pros

I loved a lot of my coworkers, but it was a very millennial driven environment (as a fellow millennial, I feel like I can use that term here now). If someone wasn't around to babysit, refill the coffee, refill the paper, the coffee pot and the printer were out of commission. The CEO and leadership team were all approachable and real go-getters. They liked to set goals (even if they didn't see the realistic path to attaining the goals). I learned a lot of valuable lessons for red flags to look for when looking for a job. It starts with a company that uses too many buzzwords and ends with companies that have been in business over a decade and still function like a startup.

Cons

Where to begin...the environment was chaotic at best. There was so much turn over and leveling that it was tough to ever get your feet set. The CEO did his job of setting the goals, but then leadership would drop the ball to outline a clear path for employees to actually accomplish them. They pushed and pushed for this feedback rich, open culture full of fun and authenticity, but refused to celebrate differences. It was an all-talk-no-action-large-reaction kind of environment that was toxic.

Pros

Was tough to leave as I had liked the position and had no issues with the position itself. "Work hard, play hard" mentality and a fun environment. Learned a lot, was cross-trained in different areas, and felt that my opinions and feedback were valued and heard. Management was very understanding and flexible to life changes, including even letingt me work from Florida for a month when I had gotten covid on vacation. Other co-workers were helpful, supportive, fun and nice. My direct manager (no longer at the company) was an amazing, kind, understanding person and leader, and truly one of my favorite bosses.

Cons

-Smaller company, so not much room for pay growth/advancement in positions. (This was especially relatable to my department as it was only my manager and I) -Organization and structure was lacking at times. -Internal turnover was fairly high. -Sometimes miscommunication from upper level management caused tension or confusion among employees. -Probably would've stayed longer if there were more room for advancement and pay was higher.
