Pros
It used to be a great place to work. Now it is hard to find any pros other than this is a payed job with good benefits
Cons
- Stress levels are over the roof and overtime (without compensation) is a norm - Thanks to the ranking system people don't share and are very protective about what they know - Because of constant thread of layoffs the morale is low and rotten - Work culture - again in parts thanks to the ranking - is horrible. I have seen people reporting "serious collaboration issues" to supervisors or burring people with tough questions during important reviews to get them lower in ranking - For me, the CEO is a puppet of ExxonMobil and will do all they ask for without even blinking - In my opinion, there is no such a thing like "corporate separateness" between Exxon and Imperial - they say there is but in fact all is dictated by the struggling mothership - "People are our core value" - good joke, your career last as long as you are not expensive/replaceable by a cheaper worker in Canada or in places like India - All positions which were eliminated in 2020-2021 "to save money" were not filled in, so everyone who is left has more workload and probably should be very thankful to the company...
