Overworked staff and management - Anonymous employee Impulse Creative Employee Review

Everyone was absurdly overworked, including management. One major leader would regularly say "I'm literally dying" as she spoke about her workload, another was clocking an insane number of hours every week, and another had to step down from a promotion after being completely overwhelmed with tasks and responsibilities. The daily grind workers and really dedicated and give 100% (they do extensive screening to only hire people like this), but when they burn out and ask for help, nobody is able to give it. In addition, projects were often late and had bugs due to not enough testing time, so it seemed like clients were continuously upset, some even getting to the point of being verbally abusive to the staff. Everyone was working so hard all the time, even filling in for staffing shortages and self-teaching skills so they could help with projects outside their role, but there simply was too much work and not enough staff, so the dedication rarely paid off. No matter how hard you tried, it always felt like you were doing terrible. Pay is not terrible, but not equal to the amount of skill and time required (multiple people left for higher-paying jobs). Promotions happened but the path towards them was very unclear.
