Pay was always late. Always. I knew they were being paid by the company I was working for, yet I never got my money until I threatened to walk out. I was constantly worried that I wouldn't see my pay for the previous month or more that they were in arrears. Job was high stress and long hours, and it was difficult to stay positive if I couldn't count on money coming in on time.
