Incompetitive pay, misguided benefits - Radiographer InHealth Employee Review

Pros

Some benefits are actually free and make sense like life assurance.

Cons

A private healthcare company offers a base pay lower than the corresponding NHS bands, attempting to highlight a range of benefits, many of which are either of minimal value or require payment. These benefits can be revoked at any time without prior notice, as exemplified by the removal of weekend working enhancements, a tangible cash incentive exceeding £100 per month for weekend shifts. Several instances of unfulfilled promises include but not limited to these: "Monthly award programme and online peer-to-peer recognition": Approximately 10 individuals monthly receive around £50 in vouchers, subject to referral by one's manager and approval from higher management. Online peer-to-peer recognition involves sending electronic postcards to colleagues. "Private medical insurance options": While mentioned as a benefit, individuals are responsible for covering the associated costs, which are deducted from their payments. "24/7 access to a dedicated well-being hub": This feature leads to an uninspiring and patronizing website, providing advice such as feeling better by reducing television usage or saving money through slight adjustments in heating.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It's a shame to hear your negative view on parts of the InHealth benefits package. For Private Medical Insurance, InHealth cover the cost for colleagues who choose to have this benefit, only asking them to pay the tax on the total amount - this is a mandatory charge and is the case for all organisations who provide this benefit. The monthly award programme sees more than 50 nominations each month, with our Executive Team selecting winners that range in number month-to-month - as with any award programme, there is a selection criteria and not every nomination is awarded. The e-cards are always available for all colleagues to use and they encourage engagement and motivation. The wellbeing hub offers much more than you have highlighted, with additional access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme where our people can access counselling, support, advice and other services. Such a hub supports people with a range of topics and we know that it is well used. We regularly review our benefits package, so thank you for your feedback and all the best with your ongoing career with InHealth.
