Cons

How can a company have zero cons on this review platform? - While the company promotes work-life balance, it’s common to feel highly drained by the end of the workday, leaving little energy for personal time. Individuals with family commitments may find it challenging to meet the expectations set by unmarried or childless team leads/individual contributors, who often work long hours. - Initially, new hires might receive attractive salary packages, but over time, leads may introduce terms like "pay parity" or raise expectations unexpectedly. It's not unusual to find that performance goals appear to be generated from Chat GPT without much consideration for individual contributions. - Even in a remote work setting, managing personal responsibilities, like caring for children or handling errands, can be challenging during work hours. This is way stricter than an actual office. - There is a disparity in how mistakes are addressed. For instance, some senior team members may receive leniency for significant errors (querying the entire database from hibernate query by an engineer with 10+ years of experience - how can that experienced engineer miss this?), while those outside the favoured circles face scrutiny for minor issues. This creates a sense of favouritism within the team. - It’s noticeable that employee turnover is higher here than in other companies. Many long-term employees (with one company for ~10 years) have left within a year, often due to increased pressure and frustration. - Despite the emphasis on quality and short release cycles, new hires may encounter numerous unresolved (tens of) defects upon starting. Lower-level employees often appear to be expected to address these bugs, even when they stem from code written by higher-ups/favourites. Higher-ups get a pass for fixing bugs because they are "enabling". Even if you ignore this review, look at the high attrition rate, and you will be able to guess the underlying issues within the company culture. Many employees have resigned out of frustration, sometimes without securing new positions, indicating a significant organisational problem. A chosen few spin fairy tales on LinkedIn. Let this message break the spell.

Pros

Working at Incubyte as a Test Craftsperson has been a phenomenal experience. The workplace culture is entirely collaborative and free of corporate politics—colleagues genuinely have each other's backs. The learning and growth opportunities are abundant, which has significantly contributed to my professional development over the past year. With zero micromanagement, a strong emphasis on personal accountability, and abundant growth opportunities. Work-life balance is excellent, with considerable flexibility in work hours and leave policies. What truly stands out is how the organization values talent and consistently recognizes efforts and contributions. The leadership team that actively recognizes hard work make it an inspiring place to show up to every day.

Cons

Being a full time remote you'll be actively collaborating with everyone as in pairing which some times could be exhausting.
