Pros
Every individual here works well on their own and in a team. The company fosters collaboration and doesn't try to separate anyone from teaming together to accomplish tasks. There are intelligent people here. Most of my coworkers are professionally licensed in their respective fields (CPA, attorneys, engineers) and many are pursuing additional degrees. There is room for growth. There is a clear understanding that management wants for each employee to succeed and take on responsibility. For a financial services based company, there is a healthy work-life balance. People work smart and are results driven, but its not expected for anyone to be putting in 80+ hours like other accounting and consulting firms.
Cons
It can be difficult to find the right talent to fill the positions we have high expectations for. Many think they can grasp R&D but either end up not truly wanting to learn, or fall short. We've got a solid team though, so slower hiring is smart!
