Pros
After 6 months working here, I can say the people are what make this place special: everyone I work with is kind, committed, passionate, driven––really leaning into the company values which are expressed top-down as well as bottom-up. It produces a healthy workplace environment that maximizes productivity and keeps it light and fun along the way. Leadership is generally aligned and clear on their visions, and take the time to ensure visibility and clear communication with strategies, business metrics, and shifting priorities. This helps everyone understand exactly how they fit into the bigger picture, and even influence their current et of priorities based on the expressed priorities of the business. Results in a sense of collective buy-in and motivation/group morale.
Cons
We're a lean and mean crew, which means we're not for everyone. There is a lot of work to be done and it's not all prescriptive. It requires a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit to thrive in this type of 'scriptless' environment. Furthermore, the dynamic nature of the business means that priorities shift, and it's important to understand how your day-to-day is aligned to the overarching vision. For folks who like to predictability and a more static set of priorities QoQ/YoY, this might be too fast-paced.
