Pros
There are really NO positives for working in this toxic environment, would like to have given in NO STARS!!!
Cons
Take a look at all the negative reviews, any positives are fakes! At interview you will be sweet talked into thinking it will be a fab company to work for, give it a couple of months and its true colours will show through. There are literally no benefits working for them, socialising is frowned upon, no company events, no 'takeaway Fridays', not even a Christmas party! Directors are bullies, one in particular will shout and belittle you in front of colleagues, they are just happy it is not them in the firing line. Leave at 5pm? How dare you leave on time, office staff are chained to their desks literally scared of being the first to pack up and leave. Warehouse staff are literally laid off with little or no notice or expected to work extremely long hours to finish jobs. You are told to take your lunch at particular times and be back at your desk but everyone just leaves you to answer the phone so it is hard to adhere to these rules. Anyone who has been there for a few years has 'brown-nosed' their way to the top, sucking up to the hierarchy, which is so embarrassing to watch. Good staff try to avoid being targets and most do leave fairly soon after joining as the toxic environment is bad for your mental health. If you ask to leave early for appointments they have no empathy, heaven forbid if you need to leave for a family emergency as they will dock your pay!!! Don't expect any conversations with HR or Finance to be 'confidential' as these staff are snitches and report back to Directors. This company has been through many names changes due to bankruptcy leaving suppliers out of pocket. Please, please for your own future mental health read all the negative comments before you even consider an interview or actually joining this company.
Pros
There are no pros to working in this toxic, narcissistic environment.
Cons
As said above, all positive reviews are fake and written by Directors or bribed employees. Avoid this company full stop, it is not good for your health! They will lure you in with money and false promises, but it's not long before you realise the facade is all a lie! They trap you with a 3 month notice period, limit your lunch breaks to a specific timeframe and tell you when to take annual leave! They begrudge people asking to work from home, which demonstrates a lack of trust, and hate when you ask to attend important appointments during work time, expecting you to use your annual leave. The Directors are horrible narcissists, providing a toxic environment and bullying culture, who discourage any change from their archaic beliefs. They will grind you down with the never-ending workload, belittle you in front of clients, verbally abuse you down the phone and never give any praise for the positive outcomes you achieve or the hard work that goes into what you do. The 'benefits' you're promised are non-existent, no social outings (not even for Xmas) and no pizza Fridays. Be careful when speaking to HR and Finance, they're friends with directors, nothing will be kept 'confidential'. One director, in particular, likes to adopt the Headteacher and Child role with 'weaker' directors and knows nothing about being a good leader, she can't even quote jobs correctly, yet picks on the minimal mistakes of others! She'll insist on working in the office a few days a week which causes the whole office atmosphere to change, for the negative. Another director is a vicious piece of work, having verbal conversations with you and acting like everything is fine, then slams you via email. In fact, if an issue arises then the Directors/CEO will copy everyone in the company into the email just to show an employee up! Warehouse staff are worked to the bone with minimal pay and no benefits. If a job isn't done, warehouse staff and installers are forced to stay to complete the job, travelling time isn't accounted for either. Office staff are expected to stay late as part of salary and working your contracted hours and taking your lunch break is frowned upon, yet certain staff will go for lunch whenever they want and leave you in the office on your own to answer the phones. They insist you take your lunch break within a certain window, but plan pointless lengthy meetings to make it impossible for you to take your break within the timeframe given, then get HR to send out an email to say they “want people to have their breaks, they're looking out for them”! Make sure you don't sign the 'overtime' document when you start either. Any staff that have been there more than a few years have tried to work their way up the chain, through being two-faced, following the directors around like sheep and not supporting the good members of the team. The good team members constantly walk around with targets on their backs, anticipating when the next strike will be. The people running this company do not have an empathetic bone in their body, encourage bullying and push employees to breaking point. The company have gone into liquidation numerous times, owing companies, who supply to them, thousands of pounds! I really don't know how they sleep at night or the recruitment company, who knows what a massive turnover of staff they have due to their controlling behaviours. PLEASE TAKE ALL OF THE HONEST REVIEWS ADVICE AND STAY AWAY!
