Pros
I have worked for Ingeus for over 11 years and personally have found it to be a great place to work. Over that time I've worked across various roles and contracts and watched the business grow and change, and I've always felt supported and been given opportunities to develop. I have been able to undertake externally accredited training paid for by Ingeus which has enabled me to develop my skills. At the end of 2019 I was diagnosed with a life changing chronic health condition and I have been supported throughout to enable me to keep working. The best thing about Ingeus has been the people I've met and worked with, most people are really positive and care deeply about changing people's lives. Even though we work remotely, I feel a connection to me team and a sense of shared values.
Cons
The only negative experiences I've had have been when a contract ends or business needs have changes which have resulted in redundancies and having to reapply for jobs. I have always been fortunate enough to get through each time but it is a stressful experience. Unfortunately it is the nature of the work we do that means these situations inevitably arise as the contracts will always have an end date. In my experience, the consultation process has always been completed professionally with lots of support made available for staff at risk of redundancy.
