Pros
Inkitt is a very data-driven company. When I was considering whether or not to work here, I was sold by the emphasis on letting the data speak and following where it leads rather than relying on manger dictates or "Just because I think it is best". We are always questioning ourselves and our work to find ways to improve it. Inkitt also has lots of opportunities for career advancement and self improvement. If you want to take on new responsibilities, you can just identify the problem needing solved and jump in and solve it. We also get an unlimited budget for self-development books and are encouraged to work on our development and interests. Another great thing is the customer focus. Every day, we take time to use our products, think about them like a customer would, and try to find ways to improve it. Everyone in the company stays in connection with the customers through weekly user feedback calls so no one gets too removed or siloed away from the customer's perspective. It keeps everyone working to the same end. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly. The management is responsive and open. The coworkers are helpful and non-competitive. P.S. It is a dog-friendly workplace with some of the best dogs ever.
Cons
The main disadvantage is a little bit of a lack of clarity in company structure, performance expectations, and consistent salary increases, but that has been improving recently. Basically, they are the same issues that happen in any start-up going through a growth phase.
