Pros

They are no positive things about working for this company.

Cons

I was hired at Innercept as a resident advisor. I was thrown into the job with absolutely no training whatsoever. I was given no guidance of any kind. And criticized heavily by management above me for breaking protocols that were never even explained to me. In my 2 weeks working there, I was verbally and physically assaulted by one of the residents while trying to save their life. I had to chase another resident down the road and walk with them for 3+ miles in the middle of the night. I went through all of this with no training given to me, and instead of any constructive criticism given back, or any positive feedback I was heavily criticized and told I was doing everything wrong. (I was being told this while STILL having not received any formal training) none the less I stayed and gave it my all even with the extreme hostility I was facing by one of the residents. I kept in close contact with my manager and tried to follow protocol to the best that I could with the very vague information I had been given on it. I even received positive feedback by my manger thanking me for doing my best, then 2 days later received an email about my termination. In the email, many things said were 100% false. This company will soon have no employees left with how they treat their staff. Even with giving everything I had, I was blindsided and fired under false accusations and comments made by a resident known to be volatile, manipulative, and known to lie. I was not spoken to at all or even given a chance to explain myself or stand up for myself. I was blindsided, and treated horribly by this company.

Pros

Some of the kids were great and not even have a real reason to be there.

Cons

One staff per household with anywhere from five to a dozen teenage to young adult mentally challenged people with behavioral issues, most of them being aggressive and or violent. Personality disorders, and any other mental health condition you can possibly imagine. No security or safety nets for the night nurses or staff most of the time doesn’t show up on time, if they show up at all. My very first night working I met my supervisor at the house she gave me a quick tour and then she left for the night. The houses are literally in the middle of nowhere like straight out of a horror movie type of situation. And most of the staff are not much older than the ““ patients they are there to take care of. So there’s a lot of intermingling behind the scenes that is very inappropriate. The kids are never deemed suitable for release and are constantly getting in trouble so that they have to stay longer. I would say about 95% of the young adults that live in these homes aging out rather than being medically released and cleared. This company is literally about the money and nothing else.
