Pros
The only pro in my eyes is the schedule. I like 12 hour shifts because you end up having more days off.
Cons
I could write a chapter book on the cons working for Insteel. First off, they play favorites with certain employees. Some employees are allowed to do anything while others cannot. Insteel’s management and pay is absolute trash. They could care less about their employees or their employees lives. They preach safety, but at the end of the day they show that they only care about numbers and production. Also, if you such as blink the wrong way, they will fire you. I’ve never seen such a turnover rate in my entire life. Management will lie to you constantly and stab you in the back. They rarely give raises. The environment is very filthy and the plant has very little airflow thru it. They claim to be a family company, but could literally care less about your home life or situation. If you want ptsd, they are the place to go. There is no way to work your way up or succeed at this company. The insurance is expensive. Most of the long timer employees will be nice to your face but talk behind your back and even make up lies about you to get you in trouble or fired. The employees act like a bunch of two faced woman and children, and enjoy causing trouble.
