Pros
I worked with RSAM from 2000-2004 and during that time I gained experienced with frontline teams registering all different types of claims. I soon realised that due to our unique customer base, we are an insurance company like no other! We do everything within our gift to constantly improve our Customer and Claims journey and our ultimate aims are to keep our disabled customer's mobile and making insurance easy. I also had the opportunity of pursuing my own self development through completing several NVQ's and a CII Certificate during that time. I then left the company in 2004 to work within the Claimant Litigation sector for 8 years. Once the MOJ Reforms came in I put my CV to market and was invited back for interview by RSAM. This was the only company I have ever worked for, left and then decided to return. The main reasons being I understood the company's core values, it's diverse and inclusive culture, the opportunity to have career progression, the benefits and the fantastic people who work there to name a few. Since then I've progressed from a Technical / Complex Claims Handler to being a Team Leader in Claims and Operations. I've been back at RSAM for nearly 8 years now and enjoy my job more than ever before. I can't stress enough the number of opportunities that are available to not only work for this great company, but to also get involved in helping our local communities, fundraising for worthy causes, initiatives to drive people engagement and once again, to pursue your own development and career progression. RSAM is a family to a lot of the people who work here. We care about our people and we care about our customer's too. That is why I'm an advocate for the company and why I would recommend anyone to work here. It's a chance for people to have a career and not just a job!
Cons
The downside would be having to go and work for other companies to then realise that the grass isn't always greener, and what you had before you left, is what you still value from working for a large organisation and the reason why I came back.
